Colnodo: Founded in 1994, Colnodo is a Colombian non-profit organization that promotes communication, information exchange and digital inclusion for social and human development in the country. It works to strengthen digital literacy, support community networks, advocate for free software and focus on critical areas such as human rights, digital security, gender equality and e-governance for democracy.

Escuela de Seguridad Digital: Digital Security School, an initiative of the Colnodo organization, offers training and diagnostics in digital security to civil society and social organizations, as well as to journalists, activists and human rights defenders. The initiative aims to enhance the handling of personal and institutional information, there by strengthening the digital security and trust of its beneficiaries.

Redes Comunitariasen Colombia: Community Networks in Colombia is a iniciative run by the Colnodo Association in Colombia. It aims to promote and strengthen community telecommunications networks. These are community-owned connectivity systems designed to improve the lives of people in remote or underserved areas. As a non-profit organization, Colnodo has supported the design, implementation and strategic use of these networks in order to bridge the digital divide, empower communities and guarantee the right to communication.

The Wind Network (Jxa´h Wejxia Casil) is a community network based in the municipalities of Caldono and Silvia in Colombia’s Cauca department. Established in 2020, it was founded by the Nasa indigenous people and the peasant community with the aim of creating their own media and connecting their territories to the world. 

The Wind Network has been recognized as a pilot peace initiative and an example of technological innovation in Colombia, contributing to the development of education, the economy, and culture in the region through connectivity.
